What is Comhar Design

The Comhar Design department of Comhar Technology Group specializes in Building Information Modelling (BIM), 3D modelling, 3D Printing, and Drawing Management. We have curated an expert team of BIM technicians, CAD designers, engineers, and architects that can satisfy all the various needs of our clients.

Comhar Design is unique in its ability to combine 3D technologies with Architecture & Engineering (A&E), and Training & Development (T&D) applications. Our experience shows that the correct implementation of 3D technologies like BIM, VR, and AR can reduce the time between conceptual design and the startup of a facility. This leads to significant cost reductions for our customers.

Comhar Design primarily focuses on providing 3D technology application services to companies in highly regulated industries, such as Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, and Biotechnology. These industries are extremely innovative when developing health products, but relatively conservative when adopting changes to their engineering procedures and practices. However, when Comhar Design demonstrates the benefits of new technologies, it is clear that such changes strengthen their regulatory position, and they are willing to move fast and invest in implementing them.

Why Our

We can merge all of your drawings, documents and models into one easy to manage solution. We can also link your drawings, documents and models to maintenance management systems for integrated maintenance.

Creating a BIM can be a challenge, we have created a very straightforward solution that can be tailored to suit your business needs and your budget. We can develop our Common Data Environment (CDE) and ensure proper integration and implementation of the CDE across all platforms & teams. This is incorporated into the standard operating procedure (SOP) we use or we can help incorporate it into an SOP that you already have in place.

A completely integrated system of information that we can manage and maintain for you, further reducing your costs and overheads. We work hand in hand with your
teams to create the best possible solution, ensuring all information that is linked is done so within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) process.

BIM Made Simple

Through our app CENTRAL we have revolutionized document and drawing management for our clients, simplifying, and streamlining the entire process from beginning to end, whilst maintaining a GMP compliant environment. CENTRAL enables users to view and share their designs in different formats, as well as extract valuable metadata quickly and efficiently, saving our clients hundreds of hours and countless amounts of money.

What Does
BIM Mean For Pharma?

Pharmaceutical buildings, cleanrooms, and laboratories pose a myriad of challenges compared to less specialised structures, both for construction and ongoing maintenance. With working parts built into the structure of a room, and the strong potential for clashes, BIM is the ideal approach.

BIM can help reduce costs in construction, retrofitting and maintenance. Comhar Design specialise in applying BIM in the pharmaceutical industry. Get in touch with us today to find out what we can offer.

What Does
BIM Mean For Facility Management?

Better information about existing conditions reduces the cost and complexity of building renovation and retrofit projects. BIM can help streamline change management. Facility managers can use the BIM model to scenario plan and configure space more efficiently.

BIM can also help identify conflicts when space requirements or purposes change. The Information about building equipment stored in BIM models can eliminate months of effort to accurately populate maintenance systems.

The UK government is actively introducing BIM policies that aim at saving up to 15% to 20% on all public construction projects.
Benefits of

3D Printing or Additive Manufacturing

Using our experienced in-house engineers, design software and 3D printing we can create prototypes and manufacturing parts at a fraction of the cost of traditional manufacturing methods and also at a fraction of the time.

We also integrate 3D printing into our overall Building Information Modelling suite, offering advantages for building and facility managers. All our designs/modifications are verified by our own in-house Quality Review, this means you will get the right information and help ensure accuracy.

Prototyping injection mold tools and production runs have traditionally been expensive. The 3D printing process allows cost-effective creation of parts and/or tools.

Set up and development time for prototyping and manufacturing have been slashed by 3D printing. A design can be finalised and printed on the same day.

Designing and redesigning is more possible than ever with 3D printing. You can produce your model/part, and test it in your markets. With feedback you can quickly and efficiently update.

2D designs can often run into problems when the model is actually produced and held physically. With 3D printing you can quickly and cheaply get hold of your model early in the development process.
